OTHER CONCERNS

The need to focus resources in a few areas ordinarily leaves us unable to fund efforts in a many other important areas, among them primary and secondary education, effective philanthropy, and international collaboration for peace and security. 

On rare occasions, and usually at the initiative of our board rather than in response to letters of inquiry, we give small grants to organizations in these or other areas that seem to us admirably led and unusually effective.
